The Castelan Group Furniture Care Network operates the largest directly employed team of mobile furniture care and repair technicians in the UK. Each team member has the skills and equipment to provide an expert repair and restoration service for customers making a claim against their first year guarantee, against a Castelan PremierCare warranty or within a contract repair agreement.
The Castelan Group Furniture Care Network was established to resolve claims against first year guarantees and warranties. However, as a retailer or manufacturer, you can also access our service and technical expertise to support your non-guarantee and non-warranty customers on a contract repair basis.
Our Furniture Care Network technicians are smartly uniformed, drive liveried vehicles, carry identification and have all been CRB checked. When they arrive at your customer’s home the first impression is distinctly professional.
Each of our Furniture Care Network technicians drives a mobile care centre fully equipped with all the tools and materials necessary to complete a repair. Our aim is to resolve the problem at the first visit and so each van has a comprehensive range of fix kits for furniture, beds, cabinets and carpets.
A Castelan Furniture Care Network technician is expert at combining traditional craft skills with modern repair technologies. They know how to identify a structural fault or stain and, just as importantly, have the experience and tools to put it right.
Modern communications technologies play in key role in the efficiency of the Castelan Furniture Care Network service. Every technician carries a PDA linked to the main Castelan Group claims management system. Details of each assignment are sent to the PDA so that the technician knows in advance what to expect. Similarly, the technician completes a report with photographs after each home visit and sends it to the Castelan system so that everyone is aware of the status.
The Castelan promise is to resolve issues as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our operational target is that details of an assignment are sent to the field technician within 24 hours of the customer notifying our claims centre. The technician then contacts the customer within 24 hours to book an appointment. Assuming the customer can be at home, the technician will fulfil the appointment and make the repair with three days.
Our average time from customer notification to the technician’s visit is 4.3 days.
