Martin Napper

Martin Napper

Chief Executive Officer

After qualifying with KPMG Martin moved into Industry as soon he could to experience the real world. Focusing initially on manufacturing companies, he worked his way up to be FD at a Chemical Business. Martin then joined HomeServe Plc to be an FD in one of their subsidiaries. Performing several roles as a Group Commercial FD he spent a lot of time closing and integrating a number of surplus, non-core businesses. His final assignment was to dispose of the HomeServe Furniture Warranties business in Weston-super-Mare. After six months Martin realised the potential of the Warranty business and therefore led a Management Buy-Out with 2 fellow shareholders, and created The Castelan Group.

In his spare time (very limited!) Martin likes to walk his dog and play golf. Recently he completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge and it nearly killed him!

Paul Owen

Head of Business Development

With over 20 years of experience in the Insurance and Customer Service sectors, Paul is a dedicated member of the Senior Management Team. Extremely customer focused and commercially astute with exceptional negotiation, sales and operational planning skills.

Outside of work, Paul enjoys playing and watching various sports, live music and spending time with his family.

Rob Jackson

Head of Sales – Commercial Services Division

Natural leader and problem solver who is an experienced highly driven Business, Sales & Service professional with over 20 years’ experience managing within the Commercial, Hospitality and Leisure industries. Fantastic relationship builder with a genuine empathy and understanding for clients’ needs and delivering them.

In his own time Rob lives for his holidays, travelling mainly to the USA, and is a budding chef and cooks amazing meals for his nearest and dearest.

Thomas Johnston

Head of Furniture Care Network UK & Ireland

Having completed a full upholstery apprenticeship in a small re-upholstery workshop, Thomas decided to change his career and re-trained in High End Server Repair with one of the world’s leading computer manufacturers.  Due to structural changes and the changing nature of the industry he was lucky enough 13 years ago to find an opportunity as a Service Technician with Castelan, from there Thomas has expanded his career to become the UK Head of the Furniture Care Service Network.

Magda Nowosielski

Magda Nowosielski

Head of Care Solutions and Internal Logistics

Responsible for supply and distribution of all physical goods used and consumed by Castelan Group. This includes management of suppliers of furniture parts and care and repair product manufacturers to make sure all customer requirements are met and services are delivered.

During the 11 years of working at Castelan, Magda has gained an extensive knowledge of Care Products which contributes to the successful delivery of over 800,000 Care Products to our Retail Partners yearly.

Paul Heathcote

Head of Operations - Commercial Services Division

An experienced Operations Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the consumer services industry. Having moved his career from the motor industry to the furniture and commercial repair industry, over 15 years ago, Paul has become skilled in the art of negotiations, coaching, sales, and operational planning.
 
Paul’s passions, aside from work, are his family holidays, football and cooking. 

Antony Harvey

Head of Claims Management

Having joined the business as a fresh faced University graduate in 2004, Tony has had progressed from Claims Handler to Head of Claims Management. In between these roles, Tony was responsible for the company’s Underwriting where he obtained his Cert CII status.

Outside of work, despite age, injury, fitness level and skill… Tony still harbours dreams of becoming a professional footballer for his mighty Toffemen.  In the real world however, Tony can often be found in the deep grass at his local golf club searching for his golf ball….’FORE!!’

Rob Sawyer

Sales and Marketing Operations Manager

Managing the marketing of the business and its products and fulfilment of schemes, Rob has been with the business for 20 years and brings a wealth of experience across a range of its activities.

Outside of work, Rob has developed a love-hate relationship with golf that sees him spending most weekends in a hedge. Walking, travel, real ale and wine also feature.

Katie Dominy

Head of Human Resources

Working more than 13 years in HR, Katie has attained her Chartered FCIPD status, acknowledging her achievements in People Strategy, Management and Development. Driving a culture of shared values and accountability, Katie ensures the HR function partners all parts of the Castelan business to help every area succeed.

In her own time, Katie loves to listen to live music, pretend her years of watching Grey’s Anatomy could help her save a life, and when it all becomes too much, unwind with yoga!

Alex Harding

Alex Harding

Compliance Manager

Alex is a professional and approachable Compliance Expert with a strong interest in regulation and a natural fascination of how Compliance functions can positively influence and add value to a business.

Outside of work Alex likes to spend time with his children and socialise with friends.    

Stuart Westcott

Stuart Westcott

Head of IT Infrastructure

A talented and experienced self-proclaimed geek, Stuart has outstanding knowledge and understanding of Infrastructure and Systems. He has been with the business for 12 years and worked his way up from a temporary role to managing the IT Infrastructure Team.

Outside of work Stuart has recently been made Vice-Chairman of Weston Hockey Club and also plays, umpires and coaches for them. When he finds time to wind down he likes to bake, follow Ipswich Town and listen to Kasabian.

Diane Davies

Diane Davies

Head of IT Development

Originally a qualified Aerospace Engineer and Private Pilot Diane landed a career here nearly 20 years ago and pursued her passion for software design and development. She currently heads up the in-house Software Department where she thrives on providing new solutions to Castelan’s clients and customers.

In her spare time Diane loves live music and can be found at the end of June most years at the festival not far from Glastonbury. She loves both the festival and Somerset cider so much that she now lives in the wonderful Somerset countryside.

Ian Beavon

Ian Beavon

Head of Finance

Having qualified many years ago, Ian has been within the Finance Department of Castelan for over 10 years. As well as the usual management accounts, budgets and payroll; the finance function produces management information and endeavours to get close to operations to ensure tight control over the £s and pennies.

Free time involves playing squash, coaching his son’s rugby team, and getting on with family life.
